The year to end unfinished projects was the winters of 92/93. I remember it so well since it was a turning mark for me. When I wrote about getting into quilting I realized that was not the FIRST age I made a quilt. I had already been married to Ken for probably five years. We never had any money for anything extra, and since I knew how to sew, I was sewing every moment I could squeeze in to capture attention of our needs and wants. I did alterations to constitute an income, I sewed a wedding dress for $50, made Elaine a bridesmaid dress, her graduation dress, outfits for the first day of college, tops and shorts for summer vacation and gifts for our parents on their anniversary.
